The 2,000 cattle is just for the first phase, the cattle are imported from Brazil because of the breed. These are special breeds that are huge, produce high quantity of milk, plenty meat and are very strong. The ranch is located in Adadia in Uruan Local Government Area of the state. The food, the cattle will be feeding on has been planted and made ready a long time ago.

Agriculture in Akwa Ibom State

Akwa Ibom State Government is really doing well in the area of Agriculture especially in crop production. Cassava production is on the increase thereby making the price of garri and fufu very affordable. I will advice they also take a look into the area of economic trees that are short term; that can be harvested between 1-2years along side the long term plants. Very soon, we will be exporting cocoa to other countries.
